Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair transfer and line dies in press and out as required to ensure optimal production efficiency.
  • Toolroom Operations: Operate toolroom equipment and machinery with precision to support press setup and efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Directly responsible for maintaining product quality to print specifications where applicable.
  • Team Collaboration: Supports press setup and efficiency as a team to achieve posted expectations.
  • Adherence to Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize root cause analysis and problem-solving skills to promote efficiency and quality.
  • Overtime and Flexibility: Must be available to work overtime as required to meet customer demand.
  • Environmental Responsibilities: Serves in the capacity of wastewater handler commensurate with completion of proper environmental training.
  • Continuous Improvement: Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles using 5S and Kaizen processes.
  • Company Goals and Objectives: Support the Company's Goals and Objectives through Continuous Improvement action plan participation and completion.
Requirements
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Demonstrate proficiency in Blueprint GD&T interpretation of Dies, Details, and Part Prints.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Effectively troubleshoot and solve daily operational deficiencies.
  • Computer and Machinery Operations: Utilize a computer and other productivity machinery such as control panels.
  • CMM and Gaging Interpretation: Interpret C.M.M. or gaging information and adjust Tooling to maintain Customer Quality requirements.
  • Experience and Education: Five years' experience in Metal Stamping, Prototype, Tool and Die Build or Die Repair Technician. High school diploma or GED. Some college or technical trade manufacturing education is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria to maintain manufacturing environmental standards.
  • Work Environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet production standards.
