We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory care team.
Responsibilities:- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate in Respiratory Therapy.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist or State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician licensure.
