Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Architect to join our team at Stafl Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced system solutions for electric vehicle powertrains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee product testing, defining test cases, metrics, and procedures to verify performance and function
  • Develop accelerated aging and environmental test profiles and methods to verify system function and perform throughout the product life
  • Own the system level DVP&R and coordinate the cross-functional DFMEA
  • Develop tools for data analysis and visualization
  • Understand the high-level customer application and derive specific requirements and engineering decisions to best support the project goal
  • Manage product development and documentation throughout the product lifecycle
  • Partake in concept and engineering design reviews
  • Assist in developing system and subsystem specifications for product features and improve features' interfaces, behaviors, environment, etc. to meet performance and regulatory safety requirements
  • Drive complex problem solving with a multi-disciplinary approach and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Leverage diversity of resources (human, technical, equipment, vendor relationships) to execute projects successfully
Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with electric vehicles or equivalent experience
  • Experience in reliability engineering and developing accelerated aging profiles for validation
  • Experience working with functional safety and FMEA analysis (medical, automotive, industrial, aerospace, etc.)
  • Knowledge of applicable standards for testing and certification of high-voltage electric powertrain components
  • Understanding of software, electrical and mechanical design, as well as product development lifecycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience in system-level architecture design for aerospace and/or automotive
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with requirements management at system level including specific tools such as Jama, DOORs, Polarion, etc.
  • Experience working with High Voltage Battery Systems (400 / 800 VDC)
  • Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) at hardware and Software Level
  • Experience designing schematics, PCB, and CAD Experience in conducting functional safety analysis according to regulatory standards such as ISO 26262 and ISO 19014
  • Experience working with different communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS232, J1939,..)
  • Experience with programming languages (C, C++, Python, MATLAB, C#, etc.)
  • Experience with system-level model simulation (Simulink, PSpice, etc.)
  • Experience facing clients and suppliers
