Position Overview

Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing to oversee Surgical Services at our esteemed facility. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for guiding nursing practices and managing patient care operations in partnership with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a vision for clinical excellence and program expansion within a complex organizational structure.
  • Collaborate with site and system leaders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services in accordance with professional standards.
  • Maintain clinical quality and safety that meets or surpasses national benchmarks.
  • Work closely with Advanced Practice Nurses, Physicians, and other stakeholders to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Oversee financial performance, including the management of operating and capital budgets for assigned departments.

  • Encourage professional development, nursing education, and research initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

Education
  • Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field. If the Bachelor's degree is not in Nursing, the Master's must be in Nursing.
Experience
  • A minimum of six years of nursing experience, with at least three years in a progressive leadership role within a healthcare setting, including a minimum of one year in perioperative services.
License/Certification/Registration
  • Active Registered Nurse license with the ability to obtain licensure in the relevant state upon hire.
  • BLS certification.
Preferred

Education
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice.
Experience

License/Certification/Registration
  • Certification from ANCC or AONL.
