About the Role

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at M Health Fairview, Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the surgical team and maintaining the safety and efficiency of the operating room.

Responsibilities
  • Supplying appropriate instruments, suture, and specialty items.
  • Maintaining aseptic technique during all sterile procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate identification and handling of specimens.
  • Counting all required sponges, sharps, and instruments.
  • Assuring availability and accurate functioning of supplies and equipment.
  • Modifying clinical interventions based on population served.
  • Nurturing a culture of improvement, efficiency, and innovative thinking.
  • Anticipating the surgeon's needs.
  • Following appropriate action in emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • Complete one of the following by hire date: Military Surgical Assistant, LPN (licensed in MN) Surgical Assistant, or Surgical Technologist training.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers (or ability to obtain by hire date).
