Your Responsibilities -
- Assist clients in drafting essential estate planning documents such as Wills, Living Trusts, and Durable Powers of Attorney.
- Support clients in implementing advanced estate tax strategies, including Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts and Dynasty Trusts.
- Prepare legal documents related to real estate transactions, including deeds and property tax filings.
- Develop comprehensive client service plans that outline estate planning strategies and review existing documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research on tax and estate planning issues.
- Draft documents for the formation and maintenance of legal entities, including Family Limited Partnerships and Corporations.
- Create documentation for charitable entities, such as Charitable Remainder Trusts.
- Manage trust and estate administration tasks.
- Review and analyze federal gift and estate tax returns.
Your Qualifications -
- Proficient in PC applications and relevant software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Demonstrated initiative and a strong work ethic.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Ability to work autonomously and tackle complex challenges with a solid understanding of legal and business environments.
- Capable of executing well-reasoned solutions in a timely manner.
Desired Attributes -
- J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Active member of the California Bar or anticipated completion of the California State Bar Exam.
- Genuine interest in estate planning.
- Familiarity with federal gift and estate tax law is advantageous; completion of relevant coursework is a plus.
- Prior experience in a law firm or estate planning is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
- Excellent drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
