About the Role

Ascendion is seeking a highly skilled Estate Planning Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our clients in navigating the complexities of estate planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth planning sessions with clients to assess their estate planning needs and develop tailored strategies.
  • Design and implement comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Supervise and review legal drafting prepared by paralegals and legal assistants to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Represent clients in non-contested conservatorship and trust modification petitions as needed.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address inquiries, provide updates, and ensure their satisfaction with legal services.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to optimize client service and achieve exceptional results.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience practicing estate planning law.
  • Active license and good standing with the California Bar.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning principles, tax implications, and relevant laws.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in client matters.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Legal drafting proficiency with attention to detail.
  • Client-focused approach with a dedication to providing compassionate legal counsel.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex legal issues.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
