Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiovascular Operating Room, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our surgical team. Your expertise and skills will be essential in creating and implementing patient care plans for surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and OR Manager.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
- Develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and report patient vital signs and medical conditions to the surgical team.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in cardiovascular surgery.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a nursing program, BSN preferred.
- 3 years of acute care experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years CV OR experience required.
- Current Louisiana Registered Nursing license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications completed within 3 months of hire.
- Certified Nurse of Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.
Work Environment: Our Cardiovascular Operating Room is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires strong communication and teamwork skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will work closely with our surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.
