Electronics Engineer II

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer II to join our team at Mattel. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and troubleshooting analog and digital electronic circuits. Your expertise will be essential in taking ideas from concept through development and into production.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, project management, and packaging, to bring innovative products to market. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members will be crucial in ensuring successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electronic circuits for a variety of products, including toys and games
- Collaborate with design and project management teams to bring products from concept to production
- Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits to ensure high-quality products
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product ideas
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to ensure successful project outcomes
- 3-6 years of experience in design, prototyping, and troubleshooting analog and digital electronic circuits
- Working knowledge of components and ability to define systems and systems architecture
- Proficiency in schematic creation in tools like Altium Designer
- Experience with PCB layout and debug
- Self-starting, self-motivating, self-directing, and self-managing with strong team player skills
- Project management skills, including the ability to lead, multi-task, and handle several projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with ARM, 6502, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar
- Experience with electromechanical systems
- Proficiency with firmware development for embedded systems
- BS in Electronic Engineering
- Ability to effectively pitch toy concepts to peers and upper management
- Experience in product development within the toy industry
- Experience working with China-based and other global vendors
- Familiarity with plastics
