Position Summary
An internship at Ridgecrest Foundation provides a unique opportunity for professional, spiritual, and personal growth. Interns will gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills necessary for success in a dynamic Christian hospitality setting.
The internship program includes weekly bible study and opportunities for fellowship with fellow interns. Participants will engage in various enrichment activities and service projects, all designed to enhance personal and professional development. Supervisors will guide interns in their daily tasks, work schedules, and special assignments.
Key Responsibilities
This internship in Audio/Visual Conference Services at Ridgecrest offers the chance to acquire skills in multiple areas, including the operation of advanced audio and lighting systems across several auditoriums. Interns will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining classroom environments for guests. Work hours may fluctuate based on operational needs, which may include extended hours and weekends. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role, requiring the ability to walk long distances (averaging 12,000 steps per day) and lift up to 50 pounds (involving frequent movement of tables and chairs). Problem-solving skills and a good sense of humor are essential for thriving in this fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Availability to work full-time from August to May (40+ hours per week)
- Commitment to the overall internship program, including bible study and service initiatives
- Ability to follow instructions and perform physical tasks
- Capacity to adhere to guidelines regarding assignments and responsibilities
- Willingness to engage in activities that require bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, and lifting regularly
- A genuine desire to serve others with excellence and compassion
- Flexibility, teachability, and a strong work ethic
- Maturity and professionalism
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation
- A positive attitude towards serving guests
- Readiness to work long hours, busy weekends, and maintain a strong physical and mental work ethic

Benefits

- Daily lunch provided for interns in the dining hall, excluding Sundays. Breakfast and lunch are also available during guest events.
- Weekly stipend of $400
