Cloud Service Infrastructure Engineer

At Apple, we're looking for a skilled Cloud Service Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our cloud services. You'll work closely with our development and operations teams to design and implement innovative solutions for our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and prioritize our production and non-production environments.
- Design, build, and implement solutions for previous, present, and future issues.
- Prepare alert handling procedures, runbooks, and collaborate with our off-shore SRE teams.
- Automate deployment and orchestration of services into our cloud environment.
- Participate in capability planning, scale testing, and disaster recovery exercises.
- Support partner teams, including engineering, QA, and program management.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure focused roles.
- Expertise in cloud operations, with a focus on infrastructure-as-a-service (compute, storage, and network virtualization).
- Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of GoLang.
- Experience operating large-scale multi-tenant Infrastructure as a Managed service.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts (zones, regions, VPCs, etc).
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Service orchestration tools (OpenStack, CloudStack, etc).
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. in computer science or similar field or equivalent experience.
