Operations Supervisor Job Description

As an Operations Supervisor at Wegmans Food Markets, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse, while providing excellent customer service to our stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse employees to meet productivity standards and maintain accuracy of inventory.
  • Communicate productivity status to team members and ensure that individual and departmental tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain cold chain and food safety initiatives to ensure the highest quality product reaches our stores.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations, including reducing operating expenses, managing inventory, and increasing efficiency and productivity.
  • Meet established goals for productivity and ensure that employees understand their job duties, expectations, and results.
Requirements:
  • 2 or more years of previous experience leading a team.
  • Computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Preferred qualifications include previous distribution/warehouse experience.
