Job Summary

Opportunity to work with new soldiers entering the Ordnance Corps as a Training Specialist at the US Army Ordnance School with Topsarge Business Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Academic Instruction: Provide Two Level Maintenance (Field Level Maintenance and Sustainment Level Maintenance) academic instruction on small arms weapons to include shoulder fired weapons, handguns, machine guns, mortars, and towed artillery weapons.
  • Publication Review and Update: Review and update academic and doctrinal publications; and maintain vehicles/equipment supported by academic instruction.
  • Classroom Instruction: Provide academic instruction to conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, POI, technical manuals, and student workbooks.
  • Student Critiques: Conduct student critiques.
  • Instructional Preparation: Review and provide pen and ink changes to lesson plans, cross-train, arrange and engage in instructional preparation and testing material, serve as an Assistant Instructor in classes.
  • Feedback and Evaluation: Provide feedback at the end of the block of instruction.
  • Technical Content Update: Assist in updating technical content of lesson material.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans, and Training Support Packages.
  • Remediation Training: Provide remediation training, maintain classrooms by re-configuring/setting up classroom furnishings, sort and maintain training aides and equipment, stock training materials and equipment, and/or assist with outdoor training site maintenance.
