Opportunity to Work with New Soldiers

Become an instructor at the US Army Ordnance School working for Topsarge Business Solutions LLC, a small business that is engaged and responsive. This is a unique opportunity to work with new soldiers entering Allied Trades in the Ordnance Corps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Academic Instruction: Teach various weld applications, including thermal cutting, welding processes in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), as well as machining applications, such as machine bench work, Computer Numeric Control (CNC) lathe, CNC milling machine, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD)/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM).
  • Review and Update Publications: Review and update academic and doctrinal publications, and maintain vehicles/equipment supported by academic instruction.
  • Conduct Classroom/Laboratory Conferences: Provide academic instruction to conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, POI, technical manuals, and student workbooks.
  • Conduct Student Critiques: Conduct student critiques.
  • Assist with Instructional Preparation: Assist in updating technical content of lesson material, participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans, and Training Support Packages, and provide remediation training.
  • Maintain Classrooms: Maintain classrooms by re-configuring/setting up classroom furnishings, sort and maintain training aides and equipment, stock training materials and equipment, and/or assist with outdoor training site maintenance.
