Key Responsibilities


The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers nursing care to designated patients under the direct oversight of a Registered Nurse (RN) or another designated supervisor. The LPN accepts delegated tasks from the RN or assigned supervisor to fulfill the needs of patients and their families.

The LPN gathers data through observation and communicates vital information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient evaluation and care planning.

As a member of the healthcare team, the LPN collaborates with the RN and other providers to address the needs of patients and their families.

The LPN provides care in alignment with the patient care plan, organizational policies, and the principles of relationship-based care.

Possessing strong communication skills, the LPN is adept at mentoring and instructing others and may engage in committees or projects, including quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications


Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or have passed the LPN Boards after completing a defined period in a professional nursing program. If graduation occurred more than two years ago, at least one year of LPN experience in a relevant setting is required.

Preferred: One year of LPN experience within the last five years. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Experience in a collaborative team environment is necessary. Computer proficiency is required, with prior experience in electronic medical record systems being advantageous. Flexibility in working hours may be needed to meet staffing requirements. The ability to adapt to unpredictable situations in the workplace is crucial. Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school is preferred.

Current LPN licensure in accordance with state regulations is mandatory.


Certifications

Arizona and Florida: Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers.

Midwest: Must maintain current Basic Life Support certification from recognized programs such as the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Additional specialty certifications or training may be required based on the work area.


Employment Details


Compensation: $34.10/hour
Benefits: Yes
Schedule: Full Time
Hours/Pay Period: 64-80
Schedule Details: Monday – Friday; Extended Days, 8-hour shifts. Flexibility to float to other Primary Care sites may be required.
