Key Responsibilities

This LPN role involves collaborating within a care team model that includes LPNs, RNs, Desk Operation Specialists, and healthcare providers. The nurse/provider team works together through simultaneous patient visits and follow-up efforts.

Essential LPN Duties Include:
- Assisting with the placement of intrauterine devices
- Administering injections
- Providing normal test results
- Reinforcing OB education

The licensed practical nurse (LPN) delivers nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other designated supervisor. The LPN accepts delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor to meet the needs of patients and their families.

The LPN is responsible for collecting data through observation and communicating information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning. The LPN actively participates as a member of the healthcare team and accepts delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor and provider.

The LPN delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, organizational policies and procedures, and principles of relationship-based care. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, is adept at mentoring and instructing, and may participate in committees or projects, including quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or have passed the LPN Boards after completing a professional nursing program.
- If graduation occurred more than two years ago, at least one year of LPN experience in a relevant setting is required.
- Experience in Women's Health/OB is advantageous.

Applicants should be detail-oriented, adaptable to workload changes throughout the day, and have experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. A minimum of one year of LPN experience within the last five years is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Experience in a team setting is required, along with computer proficiency; prior experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred. The ability to work daytime hours is necessary, with flexibility to meet staffing needs. Candidates should be able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work environment. Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school is preferred.

Current LPN licensure in accordance with state regulations is required.

Additional Information

Maintains current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers from recognized programs. Additional specialty certification/training may be required based on the work area.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation range is $22.27 - $31.91 per hour. Benefits are available, and the position requires a commitment of 40 hours per pay period, typically Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
