Position Overview:
Our Maintenance Engineers play a crucial role in responding to engineering service requests, prioritizing guest needs, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of hotel equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address and manage guest requests with courtesy and efficiency.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical systems, and guest rooms.
- Oversee engineering functions during times when full staff is unavailable (e.g., weekends and evenings). Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, disasters, and power outages; alert the necessary authorities.
- Perform regular inspections of hotel facilities to ensure everything is functioning properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all equipment and workspaces.
- Complete maintenance requests, record equipment and meter readings, and maintain logs for the next shift. Document all parts used and those required for future purchases.
- Manage elevator malfunctions.
- Keep accurate records of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program and Request Program.
- Timely completion of work order requests on a daily basis.
- Report any unsafe conditions to management.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with trade school training or specialized courses in building maintenance and construction.
Experience: A minimum of 6 months of successful experience in a similar role.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as performing carpentry and renovation tasks.
- Possession of a valid driver's license may be required for operating company vehicles.
- Ability to maintain accurate logs and records.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work collaboratively and make independent decisions.
Physical Requirements:

- Ability to hear alarms, machinery, and guest requests.
- Capability to inspect and maintain equipment.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying to respond to service requests throughout the hotel.
- Regular bending and kneeling for inspections and repairs.
- Full mobility is required to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Climbing stairs and ladders as needed.
- Driving company vehicles may be necessary under certain conditions.
Work Environment:
Indoor exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor exposure to all weather conditions. The role may involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and heavy lifting.
