Job Summary

As a Sales Associate at Howell Machine, you will play a vital role in assisting customers in finding and purchasing the required merchandise in a retail environment. You will work closely with the Retail Store Manager to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Greet customers and ensure their needs are met
* Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, policies, and security practices
* Handle cash transactions responsibly, including operating cash registers, counting money, and balancing cash drawers
* Perform price and product lookups
* Zone merchandise to ensure a visually appealing store environment
* Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the store

Additional Responsibilities:

* Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures
* Identify and prevent security risks and thefts
* Perform housekeeping duties
* Assist with unloading merchandise from trucks
* Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements:

* Previous retail and/or customer service experience
* Strong communication skills
* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
* Ability to maintain a pleasant working environment and provide excellent customer service, even in challenging situations
* Ability to sit, stand, climb, lift, pull, carry, and perform motor coordination tasks
