Job Opportunity:

Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing organizational reporting, research, and visualizations.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing reporting and visualizations in relation to the Data Warehouse, source systems, and BI solutions
  • Monitoring and tuning BI visualizations and reports to ensure optimal performance of software
  • Working with senior BI developers to confirm data accuracy of dashboards and reporting that shows business performance
  • Gaining business and system knowledge from senior employees to improve/build insights that provide business recommendations
  • Providing reporting services to all our Farm Bureau states
  • Ensuring quality control in the implementation of systems and software to automate reporting
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics
  • Successful completion of the Wonderlic aptitude test
  • Basic knowledge of the Farm Bureau organization and SFBLI products, systems, and programs
  • Working-level knowledge of SQL
  • Crystal Reports and SSRS experience preferred
  • Power BI experience as well as DAX formulas or comparable tool such as Tableau preferred
  • Skilled user in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA's, Macros, etc)
  • Database knowledge
