We encourage innovative ideas to enhance our operations and work environment. We strive to learn from our experiences and those of others, aiming to enrich our communities and the environment while building public trust in nuclear energy.

Position Summary

This position is classified as an exempt role represented by ESC and is currently subject to collective bargaining agreements.

This role is for a journey-level Nuclear Chemistry Engineer, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities associated with the Associate level Nuclear Chemistry Engineer. The individual will lead complex projects with minimal supervision, applying independent judgment in chemistry principles. The role involves collaboration with various disciplines and working alongside chemistry engineers, foremen, and technicians to assess operational needs. Responsibilities extend beyond those of an Associate Nuclear Chemistry Engineer and include:

  • Providing guidance to contractors and external vendors
  • Offering nuclear chemistry engineering support for routine projects
  • Enhancing knowledge of plant systems and their chemical and mechanical interactions

Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. While we anticipate that the successful candidate will be placed towards the midpoint or entry point of the range, final decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Problem-solving will involve moderate complexity, with assignments generally requiring standard solutions that are subject to regular review.

External interactions will primarily involve coordinating, discussing, and reporting progress with third parties, including contractors and vendors. The role may also involve mentoring less experienced team members and collaborating with others outside the team. Internal communications will include interactions with clients and project team members.
