About the Position

The Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for providing thorough, objective analysis of the financial condition and credit worthiness of borrowers.

The team works closely with Relationship Managers and Independent Risk to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, and client responsiveness.

The successful candidate will have strong credit sense and ability to articulate a view, work across a range of credit products, with experience in early problem recognition and resolution skills.

About the Team

The North America Funds Underwriting Team is a critical component of Citi's First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk (CCR) management.

The team works closely with CCB and Independent Risk teams to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, and client responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the end-to-end lending process within the CCB for Asset Management Company clients that manage traditional real money funds, hedge funds, and private equity funds
  • Knowledgeable of the Funds industry, and able to articulate and support a credit view based on well-supported analysis that effectively balances risk and business objectives
  • Approve credit reviews as a first line of defense Underwriting (Credit Officer CO designation) including assessment of portfolio risk, liquidity of client positions, and credit limits, as well as perform review and quality control of credit approval memos

Qualifications

  • Experienced credit underwriter and/or credit risk officer with relevant Funds industry expertise
  • 5+ years of experience in credit underwriting, portfolio and/or risk management with a large multinational financial services organization
  • Familiarity with Counterparty Credit Risk topics, and products including term loans, treasury and liquidity management services, foreign exchange, and interest rate derivatives

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $129,840 - $194,760 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
