Ultrasound Technologist Position

Pride Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to provide support within a healthcare facility. This role is designed for both local and traveling candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts breast ultrasound examinations following established departmental protocols and standards.
  • Ensures optimal patient care throughout the examination process, demonstrating proficiency in operating ultrasound and related equipment.
  • Reviews requests and confirms orders for each assigned patient.
  • Assists Radiologists during invasive procedures.
  • Evaluates the technical quality of exams and develops varied techniques to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Contributes to a Patient-Centered Care Philosophy, recognizing that every staff member plays a vital role in meeting patient needs.
  • Reports any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel and operates the Radiology computer system for exam entry and supply management.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensures that the area is fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Adheres to departmental regulations and performs duties in a consistently professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a comprehensive Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound program is required.
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Sonography is also acceptable.
  • ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification is required, along with BLS certification (AHA or ARC).

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Compensation: $48-58/hr, based on experience, expertise, and education.
