Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts breast ultrasound examinations in line with established departmental protocols.
  • Ensures optimal patient care during the examination process, demonstrating proficiency in operating ultrasound machinery.
  • Reviews and confirms orders for each assigned patient prior to the procedure.
  • Assists Radiologists during invasive procedures as needed.
  • Evaluates the technical quality of ultrasound exams and develops innovative techniques to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Embraces the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy, recognizing that every staff member plays a vital role in meeting patient needs.
  • Reports any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisory personnel and manages the Radiology computer system for exam entries and supply charges.
  • Keeps the work area organized and well-maintained.
  • Ensures that all necessary supplies are readily available.
  • Adheres to departmental regulations and maintains a professional demeanor at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a comprehensive Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound program is required.
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Sonography is also acceptable.
  • ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification is mandatory, along with BLS certification (AHA or ARC).

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM

Compensation: $48-58/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
