Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join LCMC Health Corporate as a Peer Support Specialist PRN. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing leadership to our peer support program and coordinating health promotion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Oversee volunteer peer allies, including attending physicians, resident physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff. Recruit additional peer allies to match program expansion.
  • Education: Serve as a content expert, providing education to managers and senior leaders about appropriate and evidence-based responses to clinicians and employees with secondary trauma.
  • Coordination: Manage cases escalated by peer allies for referral, providing individualized warm handoffs to mental health providers in the community.
  • Collaboration: Consult with partnering organizations who are establishing or revitalizing peer support programs.
  • Program Development and Advancement: Lead strategic planning efforts for the program, working with organizational leaders to align resources and promote collaboration amongst key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, including experience in corporate-based health promotion programs and project/vendor management.
  • Experience in psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral health, or a related health field.
  • Preferred: LCSW or LPC certification.
  • Experience in Trauma-Informed Care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
