The main objective of this role is to strategize, organize, develop, and oversee the comprehensive functioning of the Recreation Department, ensuring compliance with existing federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and established protocols. This position is essential in designing a continuous program of activities tailored to the comprehensive assessment, interests, and the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of each resident.

The Recreation Program Manager is entrusted with the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability required to fulfill the assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
Formulate, develop, implement, assess, and manage the recreational program;
Stay informed about current federal and state regulations, along with professional standards of practice;

Engage in community planning that addresses the interests of the facility and the needs of residents and their families.

Contribute to specific committees or work teams (e.g., Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement, Staffing) as needed.

Qualifications:
Certification as a Recreation Program Manager
High school diploma or equivalent
Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of a Recreation Program Manager
Self-motivated and proactive
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
