Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated mental health therapist to join our dynamic team. As a mental health therapist, you will work closely with our senior staff and supervisors to provide individual psychotherapy services to adults with a variety of needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 22-26 weekly hours of individual psychotherapy services.
- Diligently complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Engage in group and individual supervision to foster clinical growth and professional development.
- Completion of an accredited mental health counseling Master's program.
- Must hold a limited permit to practice mental health counseling in New York State or permit eligible.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience and training in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, or interpersonal therapy.
- A strong desire for professional growth within the field of mental health counseling.
- Clinical skill: The ability to compassionately identify what the client wants and needs from treatment and to act accordingly.
- Attention to Detail: The ability to identify, process, and communicate detailed information accurately, effectively, and consistently.
- Emotional Intelligence: A high level of awareness of one's own emotional states, and emotional reactions, and the ability to manage and adroitly express one's thoughts and feelings in an interpersonal judiciousness and empathetic manner.
- Learning Ability: The ability to readily synthesize new information and to put it into practice to great effect.
- Adaptability: The ability to remain fully professionally functional when adapting to changing circumstances.
- Industriousness: The ability to reliably take direct action in order to achieve or exceed clinical or other objectives.
