Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing technical procedures and providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures
  • Maintain sterile conditions during clinical procedures
  • Operate imaging equipment and work in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events
  • Educate patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure
  • Teach patient and family about pre and post procedure physical conditions
  • Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit
  • Complete daily, progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards
  • Accurately document productivity information
  • Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS within 18 months of hire, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV Specific certification, required
  • RCIS or RCES, required
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP), required
  • ACLS and Surgical Technologist License with DORA obtained within 3 months of hire in state of Colorado, required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment

Location: Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital, Wheat Ridge, CO

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, variable shifts including 10 hour days and on call shifts
