Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) is seeking a skilled Automated Test Engineer to join our team. This position requires expertise in test automation strategies, tools, and techniques.

We are looking for a talented professional with experience in designing and implementing automated test plans, creating automation resources, and integrating with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, testing, and quality assurance, with a focus on automation. Experience with Selenium WebDriver, Java, Python, and TestNG is highly desirable.

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills. The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing automated test plans and scripts
  • Creating and maintaining test automation resources
  • Integrating with CI/CD tools and pipelines
  • Troubleshooting and documenting defects
  • Collaborating with engineering and QA teams to improve the development pipeline

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and testing, with a focus on automation
  • Experience with at least two (2) automation tools/technologies
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EDI and financial transaction systems
  • Experience testing MUMPS, VistA, and other VA systems

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $93,725 - $114,650, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and more.

Security Clearance:

A Public Trust (MBI) security clearance is required for this position. U.S. citizenship is also required.
