Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Gastroenterology Specialist to join our team at Willis Knighton Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric gastroenterology, with expertise in general GI expertise including liver disease, IBD, eosinophilic disease, pancreaticobiliary disease, feeding disorders and nutritional disorders.

The recruited physician will work in a long, well-established pediatric gastroenterology practice with full capability of providing both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. They will work in partnership with an accomplished pediatric gastroenterologist in the practice as well as with other gastroenterologists within the community to provide the highest standard of patient care.

The children's health service boasts of comprehensive staffing including a dedicated office manager, a nurse practitioner, long-term experienced GI medical assistants and front staff allowing physicians sole focus on patient care.

Our primary outpatient GI service has ER, NICU, PICU and inpatient consultation only. We serve patients in Northern Louisiana, through South Arkansas and East Texas.

Job Requirements
This is a full-time and permanent position. The ideal candidate should be board certified/board eligible in pediatric gastroenterology. Established GI physicians or recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Additional experience or skill set in GI motility is not necessary but encouraged. A team player and collegial personality with strong work ethics is required. The candidate should also have an interest in teaching rotating residents and medical students, as well as clinical and pharmaceutical research.

Benefits
The recruited physician will have light shared call. They will also have the opportunity to participate in clinical research and academic affiliation opportunities. Our well-trained answering service will handle all after-hour patient calls. Emergency foreign bodies and G-tubes will be handled by the pediatric surgery team.
