POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Education and Simulation Lab Instruction Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily functions of the simulation and practice laboratories within the College of Nursing and Public Health. This position involves close collaboration with both students and faculty to enhance educational outcomes.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Reports directly to the Assistant Director of the Clinical Education and Simulation Lab.
SALARY RANGE:
In accordance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this role is set between $70,000 and $75,000. The institution evaluates various factors such as departmental budgets, job responsibilities, candidate qualifications, and market conditions when determining compensation. This range reflects the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates learning resource initiatives aimed at achieving program objectives.
- Collaborates with faculty to design and execute simulation activities.
- Keeps accurate records of student engagement in the Clinical Education and Simulation Lab.
- Assesses student performance for those referred for additional tutorials and communicates findings to the respective faculty.
- Prepares the lab for instructional sessions and assessments.
- Provides guidance and support to students during practice sessions.
- Maintains proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Assists students with software-related tasks.
- Ensures the upkeep of the lab environment.
- Engages with faculty regarding student issues and concerns.
- Coordinates and administers various computer-based examinations.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of the Clinical Education and Simulation Lab.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Attention to detail in record keeping.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing with recent clinical experience is mandatory.
- Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
- Experience in simulation-based learning is advantageous.
- Certification in healthcare simulation is preferred.
