The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for managing the check-in and check-out processes, as well as addressing phone inquiries and customer requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check-In and Check-Out: Efficiently processes guest arrivals and departures in a courteous and timely manner.
- Payment Handling: Accurately manages all forms of payment, ensuring proper balancing and verification of transactions.
- Guest Privacy: Safeguards guest information and ensures that hotel keys are distributed appropriately.
- Documentation: Maintains accurate records of room registrations, changes, and customer service interactions.
Customer Service:
- Provides assistance to guests and resolves any escalated issues.
- Responds to inquiries regarding hotel policies and services.
- Follows up on guest requests to ensure satisfaction with accommodations.
- Promotes a positive image of the property and ensures guest safety and security.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintains a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
- Compiles and distributes necessary reports to management.
- Reports maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a front desk role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows-based software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, is advantageous.

- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
