Polysomnographic Technologist

This is a part-time position that will be scheduled approximately 12 hours per week. The successful candidate will be located in the Sleep Center at The Christ Hospital Health Network Medical Office Building.
Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic testing related to sleep, including Multiple Sleep Latency Test, Maintenance of Wakefulness test, Parasomnia studies, PAP, Oxygen titration, and collect appropriate data for reading physicians.
- Implement interventions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic interventions such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressures and oxygen administration.
- Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper function.
- Notify Clinical Eng if service is required.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted standards.
- Perform physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments as necessary.
- Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients in a form and manner necessary to demonstrate education.
- Arrive, register, and discharge patients and perform all required documentation.
- Follow established procedures to establish and document baseline values.
- Document routine observations that meet standards and guidelines.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Technologists in the sleep medicine field.
- Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential.
