Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Wound Care plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care under the guidance of healthcare providers and registered nurses. This position involves utilizing foundational nursing principles and basic assessment skills to create and execute tailored nursing care plans that address the unique needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to proactively identify and address patient care needs.
- Implement individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Operate within the defined scope of practice for LPNs at all times.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Current Maryland Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- AHA CPR certification is required.
- Wound Care Certification must be obtained within two years of hire.
- Ostomy Management Specialist certification is required within two years of hire if applicable.
- Certified Hyperbaric Technician certification must be obtained within two years of hire if applicable.
- Completion of a 40-hour UHMS approved Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) course within one year of hire if applicable.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
