Operations Development Trainee

UFP Industries offers an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager Trainee to join our team. As a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment, this role is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in operations management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of products, processes, and procedures through hands-on training.
- Mastery of panel and lumber grades, lumber math, and efficient use of materials, including cuts and yields.
- Operation of business systems to handle essential administrative tasks.
- Detailed knowledge of product costing, production scheduling, and budget control.
- Leadership ensuring all activities align with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Immersion in Continuous Improvement practices, efficiency standards, and safety protocols.
- Expertise in Human Resources policies and practices.
- Touring UFP facilities and customer locations to broaden operational knowledge.
- Completion of assigned courses and projects to sharpen skills.
- Preparation of reports and taking on other exciting duties as needed.
