Job Summary:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images of the body using nuclear medicine imaging equipment. You will work closely with radiologists and designated physicians to ensure accurate and effective imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of the body.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Seek information to understand patient circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.
  • Build rapport and cooperative relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Consider how actions or plans will affect patients and respond quickly to meet their needs.
  • Ensure patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care related to medications, procedures, infection prevention, and fall prevention.
  • Report safety hazards, accidents, and incidents promptly.
Requirements:
  • Minimum six (6) months of subsequent experience operating nuclear medicine equipment or completion of an approved nuclear medicine program within the last twelve (12) months.
  • Completion of an approved training program in nuclear medicine technology plus currently registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in nuclear medicine or by the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMCB).
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Nuclear Medicine Technologist from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Ability to operate nuclear medicine equipment and perform related technical procedures.
  • Working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical techniques and procedures, anatomical and pathological relationships, and the contour and composition of body tissues.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a caring and courteous manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.
