We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Department team based in the Chicago area. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for performing design work, including site civil, drainage, roads, and streets, as well as runway, taxiway, and underground utilities at some of the busiest airports in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish civil engineering design standards in conjunction with project managers
  • Perform Phase I and Phase II engineering design to client and regulatory requirements
  • Keep management advised of quality, schedule, and budget variances
  • Data and document entry into various platforms
  • Report safety, health, and quality issues to management
  • Organize project design and correspondence files
  • Coordinate completion of quality control reviews of reports, plans, specifications, and other deliverables
  • Shop drawing review and disposition
  • Support the Project Manager as directed

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites
  • AutoCAD experience required
  • Civil 3D experience preferred
  • Design software experience, including XP SWMM, EPA SWMM, HEC-RAS, Microstation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise, and BIM 360
  • 0-2 years of design experience
  • Past or present experience in aviation design build or similar infrastructure projects
  • DOT project experience advantageous
  • Site Civil experience advantageous
  • Intuitional sites experience advantageous
