Job Overview:

The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a highly skilled Balance Disorder Specialist to contribute to providing and supporting balance disorder services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Specialized Clinical/Technical Service/Patient Care: As a key member of the Department of Otolaryngology, you will provide a specialized level of clinical/technical service for balance disorder testing, care coordination, and health professions education. Interpret test results, support patients in obtaining care, navigate the healthcare system, and address care/service issues.
  • Maintain and update equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with regulations and meet patient/customer satisfaction expectations.
Education and Training:
  • Provide health education to patients, residents, and students, communicating detailed medical information to various audiences.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with peers and co-workers to enhance healthcare delivery. Provide feedback to management on means to achieve goals and resolve service issues.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • FOLLOW INTERNAL POLICIES AND EXTERNAL REGULATIONS FOR SAFE AND EFFECTIVE CARE DELIVERY AND HEALTH PROFESSION EDUCATION: Follow policies/documentation requirements, participate in quality assurance, report variances, and work to address them.
Human Resources Management:
  • Provide direction, assignments, feedback, coaching, and counseling to assure outcomes are achieved.
Compensation:

$65,000 - $80,000 per year

This compensation range is estimated based on the title, job description, and location.
