Position Overview:

Our team offers a diverse range of pet care services throughout the Puget Sound area, available every day of the week, year-round. From dog walking to cat care, and from daytime visits to vacation pet sitting, we handle it all. Our Pet Care Specialists receive extensive training and are supported by our dedicated office staff, who assist in creating schedules and driving routes tailored to your location and availability, and are always available to answer any questions while you care for pets.


Available Schedules:

Part-Time hours typically range from 10-20 hours per week, contingent on client needs and staff availability. Due to the nature of pet care, hours may fluctuate based on client requests in your designated area. If you are open to traveling beyond this area, additional hours may be available.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can work: Monday to Friday mornings and afternoons and/or weekend and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dog walking and pet sitting tasks for regular, one-time, and vacation clients, including cleaning, feeding, walking, playing, grooming, pet waste clean-up, light housekeeping, and administering medication.
  • Deliver high-quality, professional, and affectionate care to all assigned pets.
  • Maintain communication with the Frolic office and clients, providing daily updates and delightful pet photos through our app.
  • Inform our team about any changes regarding clients, pets, locations, keys, and instructions.
  • Monitor pets for potential issues, ensuring overall health and safety.
  • Additional responsibilities will be discussed during the interview process and upon hiring.

Requirements & Expectations:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
  • Have a dependable smartphone with a data plan, messaging capabilities, GPS, email, phone, and camera. (You will need to download an app and use it throughout your workday with location services enabled. Good battery life or an external charger may be necessary.)
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as per CDC guidelines.
  • Ability to consistently walk, kneel, squat, bend, lift, push, pull, grasp, and balance while caring for pets.
  • Capable of lifting over 60 lbs when necessary (e.g., lifting a dog into a vehicle).
  • Able to walk at a moderate to fast pace (including hills) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Exhibit patience, a calm demeanor, and problem-solving skills, as situations can sometimes be unpredictable when working with pets.
  • Attention to detail regarding written instructions and pet health is essential.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a friendly and outgoing personality, maintaining professionalism in interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Above all, a genuine love for animals is a must.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting pay is $20-22 per hour, based on experience.

Earn 60% of what we bill clients for standalone services; individual client appointments outside of regular scheduled hours.

Paid training is provided, both online and in the field.

Full-time team members may qualify for medical and other benefits after a standard waiting period.

Depending on your availability, location, skills, and qualifications, additional positions and advancement opportunities may arise.


Available Locations:

This job opportunity is focused on the North Seattle area, but we have clients throughout the region, including Tacoma and the east side. Routes are localized, pre-scheduled, and optimized for efficiency and accuracy.
