Position Summary

We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to execute electrical installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment within an industrial setting focused on water and wastewater processes. The role is performed under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expertly troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and controls in a water and wastewater industrial environment.
  • Calibrate control equipment to meet factory specifications, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transducers, level sensors, pH sensors, and O2 sensors.
  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), AC motors, and pumps.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on control systems, VFDs, AC motors, and pumps.
  • Install and remove electrical motors and pumps as necessary.
  • Utilize technical manuals and schematics to diagnose electrical and control systems.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of the electrical preventative maintenance program.
  • Install new conduits, boxes, panels, transformers, and industrial control panels, ensuring compliance with current NEC electrical codes for new equipment and upgrades.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
  • Proficient in working with 120/208 and 277/480 VAC electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC/HMI setup and control, with the ability to utilize existing HMI and PLC interfaces for equipment control and troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in using various electrical multi-meters and megohmmeters (insulation resistance testers).
  • Experience in the installation and configuration of VFDs.
  • Knowledgeable in the installation, setup, and operation of various analog sensors and indication circuits.
  • Adhere to safety practices, policies, and procedures as outlined in plant and corporate directives.
  • Comply with electrical safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • A reliable team player with a positive attitude, capable of working independently and collaboratively across all departments.

Work Environment

This position operates in a combined office and production environment.

Physical Requirements

This role involves heavy work, requiring the ability to lift more than 30 pounds. Key physical activities include:
