Job Summary

As a Youth Care Specialist at Chicanos Por La Causa, you will provide direct supervision and support to youth ages 10 to 17 within a behavioral health residential facility. You will participate in therapeutic interactions, guidance, intervention, and role modeling while monitoring youth behavior according to program guidelines. Your goal will be to create and maintain a therapeutic and trauma-informed living environment through interactions, structure, and routine. You will also be responsible for overseeing self-administration of medication, documenting daily progress toward goals, transportation, and daily living skills for youth requiring a higher level of care, treatment, and behavioral health support.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and relevant working experience

Certifications and Licenses

• Valid Arizona Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• CPR (adult and infant), CPI, and First Aid certification
• Food Handlers Card

Additional Responsibilities

• Ability to work a minimum of two eight-hour shifts per month to fulfill position duties, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends, and assisting with coverage at other campuses within the agency. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to handle and prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands and seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
