Job SummaryThe Behavioral Health Utilization Management Coordinator will provide comprehensive service and support to providers and members as needed. This includes responding to provider inquiries, documenting contacts, managing queues, processing complaints, and conducting outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Manage large amounts of inbound provider calls promptly and record responses in the tracking system.
- Enter prior approvals in the authorization system and follow internal processes for connecting providers to clinical staff.
- Notify vendors of service start dates and monitor queues for timely processing of service authorization requests.
- Track and monitor key information for quality purposes and maintain clinical work queues.
- Process and resolve complaints, record information in the clinical management system, and handle provider inquiries.
- Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in customer service, with 1 year in a UM medical management call center setting.
- Bilingual written and verbal skills preferred.
- Basic Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel skills; familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus.
