Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Barista Cafe Attendant to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality beverages and food products to our customers
  • Operate the register system efficiently and accurately, handling cash and credit transactions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Engage with customers, responding to their needs and providing excellent service
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks

Requirements
  • Valid Food Service Worker Permit from Monongalia County Health Department
  • Starbucks Barista Basics certification within 90 days of hire
  • Previous experience in a high-volume food service or retail environment
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry food and supply items, and to stand for long periods
