Mechanical Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team in Hawaii County, HI. As a key member of our water supply department, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of one year of registered professional mechanical engineering experience is required, along with a valid driver's license and a certificate of registration as a professional mechanical engineer in the State of Hawai'i.
This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $102,300 - $130,596 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems.
- Review and analyze plans and specifications for mechanical engineering features and compliance with code requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of island-wide plant facilities and operations.
- Develop and direct preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities of treatment plants and pumping stations.
