Job SummaryThe Bumble Bees Academy seeks a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Director to support the Center Director in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center's care. This key leadership role requires a strong understanding of child development, excellent leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality curriculum and classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume duties of Center Director and Teachers as needed during their absence, ensuring seamless continuity of care and education.
  • Collaborate with staff to implement quality standards, develop curriculum, and improve classroom activities, ensuring alignment with center guidelines and state and local requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with families and the community through outreach activities, fostering strong relationships and promoting the center's mission.
  • Ensure adherence to all center policies and state regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
  • Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to enhance continuous quality improvement, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting, with a strong track record of leadership and collaboration.
  • High energy and a passion for early childhood education.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of child development, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, families, and the community.
  • Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification, with the ability to maintain certification.
  • Ability to pass a full background check and health screening, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
