Senior Metrologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Metrologist to join our team at DSJ Global. As a key player in our organization, you will leverage advanced GD&T and metrology techniques to drive impactful improvements in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Program CMMs and vision systems for product compliance using advanced GD&T and metrology knowledge.
- Advance skills in PCM programming while supporting metrology inquiries from operators and engineers.
- Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure accurate setups and programs.
- Assist in special projects related to tooling and gauges with Manufacturing Engineers.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Explore efficiency improvements through attribute gauging.
- Maintain compliance with ISO/FDA guidelines and internal procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 6 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- 6 years of experience with inspection equipment.
- 4 years of advanced CMM programming experience.
- 4 years of advanced Vision System programming experience.
- 5 years of experience with advanced dimensioning, tolerancing, and GD&T principles.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Full working knowledge of machining properties of common metals and alloys. Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blueprints. General knowledge of drafting concepts.
- Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: Zeiss CMM and vision system programming skills.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
