About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant and Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team at Practice Med. As a Medical Office Assistant and Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our high-volume medical office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records accurately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Handle a high volume of phone calls and inquiries promptly, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and correspondence.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
  • Verify insurance information and process billing documents, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Ensure compliance with all medical office policies and procedures, adhering to regulatory requirements and maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Reliable work history and punctuality, with a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software, including electronic health records and practice management systems.
  • If applying for the MA position, certification is required.
