Residential Care Technician

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Residential Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will play a vital role in providing direct care services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual developmental disabilities.
Job Summary:The Lead Residential Care Technician will supervise and support a team of Residential Care Technicians, ensuring the safety and well-being of program participants. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, and mental health principles. You will work closely with our team to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment for individuals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and support Residential Care Technicians during their shift, providing clinical supervision, coaching, and administrative support.
- Assist with daily living activities, monitoring, and providing support to individuals residing in our 24/7 residential trauma-responsive substance abuse treatment facility.
- Prepare and maintain records of individuals' progress and services delivered, reporting changes in condition to manager or supervisor.
- Facilitate life skills groups, including education on personal hygiene, nutrition, money management, and interpersonal skills.
- Provide structured activities that promote socialization, recovery, wellness, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and maintenance of community living skills.
- Monitor completion of urinalysis drug screens and self-administration of medication in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Provide transportation for individuals to appointments and activities in the community.
- Ensure and provide high-quality, compassionate, and ethical delivery of services to improve program and organizational performance.
- Assist with service-related compliance and intervene in acute crisis situations as needed.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year providing social or direct care services to individuals with addictive disease in a human service setting OR Associate degree in a related field.
- Must be female, 21 years or older.
- Other: Criminal background check clearance, official academic transcripts, valid driver's license/ID, drug screen, TB test, eligible 7yr MVR.
