Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Care Technician to join our team at Highland Rivers Behavioral Health. As a Residential Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct care services to promote the safety and well-being of program participants in our residential treatment program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Support: Supervise Residential Care Technicians during their shift, providing clinical supervision, coaching, and administrative supervision.
  • Daily Living Activities: Assist with daily living activities, monitoring, and providing support to individuals residing in a 24/7 residential trauma-responsive substance abuse treatment facility to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain records of individuals' progress and services delivered, reporting changes in condition to manager or supervisor.
  • Life Skills Groups: Facilitate life skills groups, including education on personal hygiene, nutrition, money management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Structured Activities: Provide structured activities that promote socialization, recovery, wellness, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and maintenance of community living skills.
  • Medication Management: Monitor completion of urinalysis drug screens and self-administration of medication in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Transportation: Provide transportation for individuals to appointments and activities in the community.
  • Quality of Care: Ensure and provide high-quality, compassionate, and ethical delivery of services to improve program and organizational performance.
  • Compliance: Assist with service-related compliance.
  • Crisis Intervention: Intervene, stabilize, and manage acute crisis situations as needed.
  • Additional Support: Assist in providing additional coverage during increased census/acuity and emergencies.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality for all indirect/direct service in accordance with agency policies and HIPAA policies.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year providing social or direct care services to individuals with addictive disease in a human service setting OR Associate degree in a related field.
  • Age and Gender: Must be female, 21 years or older.
  • Other: Criminal background check clearance, official academic transcripts, valid driver's license/ID, drug screen, TB test, eligible 7-year MVR.
