Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Night Custodian to join our team at Elmhurst College. As a Night Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform custodial work, including cleaning, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces, floors, and equipment.
  • Ensure that all areas are clean and free of clutter, including offices, classrooms, and common areas.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Collaborate with other custodial staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of custodial experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
