Key Responsibilities
+ It is crucial for an Environmental Services Specialist to engage comfortably with patients, families, and visitors, presenting a welcoming and friendly demeanor to ensure a positive experience.
+ Conduct daily cleaning of patient rooms, which includes sanitizing all surfaces, spot cleaning walls and windows, disposing of trash and linens as necessary, and thoroughly cleaning restrooms.
+ Maintain cleanliness in ancillary areas such as nursing stations, medication rooms, pantries, utility rooms, waiting areas, locker rooms, break rooms, and offices.
+ Specialists will be tasked with cleaning specialized areas, including but not limited to operating rooms, pre-operative and post-operative areas, emergency departments, intensive care units, labor and delivery units, pediatric units, mental health units, oncology, radiology, laboratories, and therapy areas.
+ Basic tasks for the Environmental Services Specialist encompass cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, and managing waste and clean linen deliveries.
+ Proper use of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety guidelines is mandatory. Specialists will receive comprehensive training on their responsibilities and will be equipped with the necessary tools.
